New Braunfels made the most of a unique chance to showcase some noteworthy attributes of the community last week, when 51 representatives from 27 countries visited the city.
The cadre of business leaders and professionals who descended upon the Lone Star State took a tour of cities that included San Antonio, Fredericksburg, San Marcos, College Station and Austin as part of the Seventh Americas Competitiveness Exchange on Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
During its half-day stop in New Braunfels, the delegation visited the Central Texas Technology Center and Resolute Health Hospital. At CTTC, folks departed the massive tour bus one by one as they were greeted by a festively clad oompah band. There, they learned about different classes and programs offered by the center, which President and CEO of the Greater New Braunfels Chamber of Commerce Michael Meek told the Herald-Zeitung other countries want to replicate.
