With job growth and housing starts in the New Braunfels area at nearly a constant, Comal ISD’s growth projection remains steady. The district’s demographer, Bob Templeton of Templeton Demographics, presented the CISD board with a quarterly report at a special meeting Wednesday night.
“We have not adjusted the forecast at this point,” Templeton said.
The demographics projection predicts that about 1,500 new homes will be built within the Comal school district each year, and in 10 years the district’s enrollment could exceed 32,600 students.
